SR3 recently had the honor of presenting at the APSA Rescue Summit in Atlanta. Our class on night helicopter search and rescue operations was written with participation in mind. As a result, the group did not disappoint!

Instructors Jason Connell and Dave Callen provided an overview of the methods used during night operations. In addition, equipment types and risks versus benefits were discussed. Making the choice to go at night can sometimes be a challenge. Three scenarios were included that gave everyone a chance to talk through the process.

Sharing information is the most valuable part of attending a conference. Above all, it allows us to learn from each other and work safer. We look forward to seeing you at the next one. Until then, train hard and stay safe!
